A really great locomotive the way it looks on the front by the position of the lights makes me think it’s a former Santa Fe locomotive that Leslie RS-3L horn sounds fantastic

The reason 2306s horn sounded weird is because the K3LA on that loco, along with 2201s RS3L were both blowing at the same time, making it sound weird

Its crazy to think that whole train is essentially gone by brockport. the grain cars and tank cars both are from and for the ethanol plant in medina and runs only between the lockport interchange and the medina y junction. Here in albion we're lucky to see 3 box cars .

There is a guy on highway 158 east about 5 miles out of Roxboro, NC that has an absolute beautifully restored C&O Caboose in yellow in his yard viewable from the road.

I'll be honest, I don't hate some gevo's. I enjoy the ES40DC's and the 700 to 900 ES44AC/H's. What I really don't like is the constant ES44AH's in the 3000's and the Tier 4's, they're so damn common it's mind numbing.

I interviewed for a conductor/engineer gig on the ME-1 crew today. Was a Naval Officer and had jobby jobs for a lot of years. But got burnt out with the politics and having to answer for other peoples’ f-ups as a manager. So I decided to drop it all, even turned down 3-year orders as a training program manager for F-35s in Arlington, and follow my heart. I have no idea if they’ll hire me or not, but honestly I can’t see myself doing anything else at this point in my life. It may be a harder life, but it’ll just be me and the steel. And I think I’m okay with that.

Gotta love those brilliant colors on the B&P locos.

CSX is starting to become good again. They somewhat eased up on PSR a bit and they recalled a bunch of Dash 8's and 9's to service as well as SD70ACs which they've been rebuilding. Of course one of the great things they've done recently is repainting the business train to B&O colors
